To prepare for mud master, they encourage a four-week training schedule before the event, and this can be as simple as a 10 minute run for beginners all the way to a 1KM run for those more experienced and into extreme fitness.

Although the obstacles seem to be designed as fitness-focused, they also need mental stimulation and teamwork to really challenge you in the most fun way possible. Obstacles are available just to be skipped if they are too challenging/tough for yourself, although it’s always super fun to give it a try even if you’re not the best at it! Courses are based on military obstacle courses but give them a fun twist, especially when attending with family and friends. However, you’re welcome to participate alone as other participants are friendly and welcoming, offering help to anyone who is attending their first mud master in 2021. The course is designed for your own personal level, allowing you to choose which suits you best when booking a place in the event, therefore challenging you at your own pace.

Essentials To Bring To Mud Master

This event is messy, uses a lot of energy we need to make sure we keep energised and takes essentials to deal with all that mess!

Water-resistant boots and clothes are a great shout, you have to accept there will be mud water, and water-resistant products are incredibly useful in those muddy, messy fields.

A change of different clothes would be great considering your others will be soaked in mud, it’s probably best to pack some!

Next is a good water bottle, or maybe even a few.. You will be burning a lot of energy throughout the day and need to keep hydrated to motivate yourself and smash through the tough muddy grass.

Taking a water-resistant watch with an activity and heart rate sensor may be a useful shout to keep an eye on the time whilst going through the trial, although you may just be too distracted by all the excitement!

The event offers food and drink, but just to ensure you can keep your body fueled, it’s always best to pop some in your travel case to be prepared.

Large wet wipes are great for cleaning down afterwards and can make you feel so much fresher and cleaner when you use them after all that dirt!
